Hi.

Welcome to my blog, a place where I document when life gets lifey.

Priceless Pilates Picture

Last night, I was cleaning up the kitchen. I had eaten dinner with my boys, as my husband was working late. As they cleared their plates, one of my four boys saw my Pilates dvd and put it in the dvd player. As I cleaned and thought about work and life and other random things, I heard belly-aching laughter erupting from the family room. I walked in and saw a most priceless picture: all four of my boys from oldest to youngest were lying in a row on the floor attempting to do pilates. They groaned and rolled and laughed and groaned some more. I wanted to grab my camera, but the 11-year-old threatened my life so I didn't dare. Even today when I think about the four of them laying there seriously trying to hold these positions and do the next move, I can't help but chuckle. It was one of those moments that gave me instant joy in having these four boys in my life. And what a  bonding moment it was for them as well.

I walked back into the kitchen to clean and then heard some more loud laughter. When I went back in, they had created the "Pilates Pile," oldest on the bottom and the youngest on the top. Something so simple... little boys piling on top of one another, each one exploding with laughter. All I could do was stare at them and laugh and hope that I never lose that "picture" for the rest of my life.
